Client Profiling
Using AllocationMaster helps you work with clients to identify and quantify their financial goals and resources. Then a realistic plan can be created specifically for their needs. AllocationMaster can assist you in developing plans which are likely to achieve the client's financial objectives at a level of investment risk they can understand and accept. All of the basic elements of financial planning software can be found in AllocationMaster.

Portfolio Holdings
AllocationMaster considers the client's current portfolio as the basis for any recommended reallocation of the investment assets. In this way, the current portfolio provides an important frame of reference for the client. The results always use comparisons showing the potential outcomes for current and proposed alternative portfolios. Each client position in the current portfolio is assigned to an asset class with its current market value and original cost basis. A special feature lets you mark client positions which are non-repositionable.

To make your job easier, and to eliminate entering redundant information, AllocationMaster interfaces with many client management systems. Custom Editions: May be linked to an internally-developed client database.

Cash Flows
Enter the client's projected cash flows into AllocationMaster to test the ability of the portfolio to achieve the plan's financial objectives. Specify the starting date, the amount, how many years, and the growth rate for each cash flow.

  • Financial Goals. The future financial objectives of the client including retirement income, education costs, major purchases, etc.

  • Additional Contributions. Planned additions to the client's investment assets.

  • Special financial planning calculators are included in the program. The Planners can be used to estimate the client's retirement income needs, education costs and other financial goals.

Risk Tolerance
AllocationMaster includes its own self-contained module for performing risk tolerance analysis using a risk questionnaire, scoring system and profiling that are entirely customizable. The results provide a starting point for selecting a recommended portfolio and show the risk category of the client's current portfolio.

Use a risk questionnaire which assesses the client's tolerance for the main risk factors of investing. Then, determine the importance (or score) for each question in determining the risk profile. Example profiles are conservative, moderate and aggressive.

Custom Editions: The risk tolerance questionnaire and scoring system may have been customized.
